Good Looking Atheist Girl
A good looking Atheist girl invited a Muslim poet to atheism, so he responded with a poem:
ومَليحَةٍ تَرْمِي السهَامَ سَديدةً
بالحُسْن، أمّا الفكرُ غيرُ سَديدِ
تُدْعُو إلى الإلْحَادِ فِي كَلِمَاتِها
وجَمَالُها يَدْعُو إلى التَّوْحِيدِ
‘Her looks shoot arrows, very accurate (SADEED),
her beliefs are corrupt, very inaccurate!
Her words invite me to atheism,
while her beauty invites me to TAWHEED! (monotheism – Oneness & existence of a Creator).”

* there is a wordplay here with the word ‘Tawheed’, which means ‘oneness’, so what he’s saying is: she denies God, yet her beauty is evidence that the One and only God must have created her. God must have crafted this elegance – it cannot have been random. So he sees a contradiction. Her words defy God, but her beauty necessitates design.
It also carries a double meaning: her creed is corrupt but her appearance invites me to oneness’, i.e. to become one with her (marry her – which also isn’t allowed unless she belongs to the people of the Book).
