Heavy & Light

A man divorced his wife, but he wouldn’t let her take the child.

The man claimed the child should go to him, claiming that he carried the child and he delivered it – even before his wife did!

The woman said to the judge:

هو حمله خفيفاً و انا حملته ثقيلاً
وهو أنزله شهوة و أنا أنزلته ألماً
“He carried him light, I carried him heavy!
He delivered him with pleasure, I delivered him with pain!”

The judge re-united her with her child.
