The Peacemaker

A woman was filing for divorce.
She was asked: “is there nobody that can make peace between you two?”
She replied:
مات الذي يصلح بيننا
“The “peacemaker” between us has died.”

In another instance a husband and wife had an argument.
At night, the “peacemaker” woke up.
The man slapped the “peacemaker”, telling it to go back to sleep.
His wife rebuked her husband, saying:
لا يوجد بيني وبينه مغاضبة
“This conflict is between you and me, not between me and him.”

In another instance, conflict arose between a husband and wife.
The husband brought in the “intercessor”.
His wife said:
‎أخزاك الله ، كلما وقع بيني وبينك شر، جئتني بشفيع لا أقدر على رده.
“May God disgrace you! Every time we fight, you bring this “intercessor” which I cannot say no to.”
