Ant’s Prayer

The Prophet said:

خرج نبي من الأنبياء يستسقي ، فإذا هو بنملة رافعة بعض قوائمها إلى السماء ، فقال : ارجعوا فقد استجيب لكم من أجل شأن النملة

“A Prophet of the previous nations had come out to pray for rain.

He saw an ant that was raising its antennae/legs towards the sky (asking for rain).

So this Prophet told his people:

“RETURN TO YOUR PLACES, (YOUR REQUEST FOR RAIN) HAS BEEN GRANTED, BECAUSE OF ANT ANT.”

[“Al-Mustadrak ‘Ala Sahihayn”, (1255). Al-Hakim said this chain is authentic: ‘هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد’ and Imam Dhahabi agreed.]
