Reward for Watering Animals – سنن النسائي

The Prophet and his Companions were on a journey.

It was a hot day.
Some of them were fasting and some were not.
They found a shade.

Those who were fasting collapsed from exhaustion.

Those who were not fasting had some energy left – so they watered the animals.

The Prophet said:
ذَهَبَ الْمُفْطِرُونَ الْيَوْمَ بِالأَجْرِ
“Those who were not fasting today have taken the reward.”

[Nasai, 2283 – Sahih].
