Eclipse – Sign of GOD – الْخُسُوفِ

When the Prophets son Ibrahim died, the sun eclipsed.

People started saying that the eclipse was due to the death of the Prophets son.

The Prophet came out saying:

إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ
لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلاَ لِحَيَاتِهِ
فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْجَلِيَ

“THE SUN AND THE MOON ARE TWO SIGNS OF GOD.
THEY DO NOT ECLIPSE BECAUSE OF SOMEONES DEATH OR LIFE.
SO WHEN YOU SEE THEM, INVOKE GOD AND PRAY UNTIL THE ECLIPSE IS CLEAR.”

If the Prophet was an imposter – معاذَ اللهِ -, he could have easily used this amazing natural phenomenon to his advantage.

He did not do this.

Instead, he called it a Sign of God.

Have you ever wondered why we are able to see a total eclipse – with a beautiful ring of light around it?

How the moon fits EXACTLY into the sun?

It’s because the sun is 400x bigger than the moon, but the sun is also 400x further away.

That’s why the sun and moon look exactly the same size to us.

That’s why an exact fit – total eclipse – is possible.

And it also seems to be fine-tuned for human civilisation to witness it .. because in the past and in the future, there will be no total eclipses, because the moon keeps moving away from the earth.

This precision & timing is amazing.

That’s why it was called a Sign of God.

Scientists say that if the earth was slightly closer to the sun, everything would burn.

And if we were slightly further away, everything would freeze.

They also say that if the size of the moon was slightly bigger or if its distance was slightly closer to the earth, the sea-tides the moons gravitational pull would create, would submerge entire CONTINENTS under water!!

Life would not be possible.

وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُون

“Among His signs are the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Do not bow down in worship to the sun, nor to the moon, but bow down to God, Who created them, if it is Him that you worship.” [Qur’an 41:37].
