Forgive, Don’t Forget

It is said:
‎سامح اعدائك ولكن لا تنسى اسمائهم ابدا
‎‏”Forgive your enemies,
but never forget their names.”

Anyone who can backstab you once, is capable of doing it again. Don’t give second chances. If they get another opportunity, they will bite again.

Forgive them, but do not forget them…

The Prophet said:
لاَ يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ
“A believer is not stung twice from the same hole.”
[“Sahih Bukhari”, 6133].
