Why people die …. هل رأيت خليلا يميت خليله

Ibn Hajar mentions:

وقد ذكر بعض الشراح ان إبراهيم عليه السلام قال لملك الموت لما أتاه ليقبض روحه هل رأيت خليلا يميت خليله فأوحى الله تعالى إليه قل له هل رأيت خليلا يكره لقاء خليله فقال يا ملك الموت الان فاقبض

The Angel of Death went to take the soul of Prophet Abraham.
Abraham was known as “Khalilullah” (friend of God).
Abraham said to the Angel: “Do you know of a friend, who takes the soul of his friend?”
God inspired the Angel to say to him: “Do you know of a friend, who does not want to meet his friend?!”
Abraham said: “O Angel of Death, take my soul now.”
