There is a similar incident reported about the tyrant Hajjaj, who almost drowned. One guy didn’t recognise him and saved him. Hajjaj wanted to return the favour, the man said:
لي طلب واحد ،بالله عليك لا تقل لأحد أني أنقذتك
“I just ask you for one favour: for God’s sake, don’t tell anyone that I rescued you!”
