God Knows

We sometimes get disappointed when God doesn’t open a certain door for us, but sometimes those passages lead to nowhere or destroy us if opened.

If we knew what was awaiting us behind some closed doors, we’d wish they never opened for us!

When you ask God for a spouse or a house or a job or whatever – don’t ask God to give it to you … ask God to give it to you IF there is khayr (good) in it. And if you don’t get it, then assume it wasn’t good for you.

وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون
‘Perhaps you love something that may be bad for you? God knows and you don’t know.’ [Qur’an 2:216].
