Inanimate Objects Have Destiny
Inanimate Objects also have a Destiny/Fate – قدر
It has been narrated:
“Don’t smack your servants for breaking your vessels, because even (these lifeless vessels) have a fate (predestined end time), just like humans have a fate.”
[Ibn Hibban in ‘Al-Du’afaa’, (1/327).
Al-Munawi said: إسناده ضعيف
——————–
This is not an authentic narration
However, its meaning is correct
So remember:
When a child breaks a mug, or a plate, a vessel, a chair, a painting, or even a TV – don’t go mad at them.
Remember that everything has a fate/destiny/expiry date (أَجَل), even lifeless objects.
The Qur’an says:
“Not even a leaf falls without Gods knowledge, nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything—green or dry—but is written in a perfect Record [Book of Destiny].” [Qur’an 6:59].
