Funny Tabi’ii

The funny Tabi’ii A’mash wore an inverted sheepskin, such that the wool was on the outside.

Someone said to him:

لو لبستها وصوفها إلى داخل كان أدفأ لك
“If only you had worn it so that the wool is on the inside! It would be warmer for you.”

Al-A’mash replied:

لو كنت أشرت على الكبش بهذه المشورة
“Why don’t you suggest this to the sheep?!”
