Illogical Questions

When people ask illogical questions:

سأل رجل عمرو بن قيس عن حصاة المسجد يجدها الإنسان في خفه أو ثوبه أو جبهته؟!
فقال له: ارم بها.
فقال الرجل: زعموا أنها تصيح حتى ترد إلى المسجد.
فقال عمرو: دعها تصيح حتى ينشق حلقها.
فقال الرجل: أو لها حلق؟
قال: فمن أين تصيح إذن؟

Amr ibn Qays was asked what one should do with small pebbles from the mosque, that are accidentally stuck to someone’s turban, clothes or forehead?

Amr replied: “Throw them away.”

The man said: “It is said that the pebble will continue to scream until it is returned to the mosque.”

Amr commented: “Let it scream until its throat splits.”

The man asked: “Does it have a throat?”

Amr said: “How else does it scream?”
