Fake Intellectuals

The legendary poet, al-Mutanabbi:

وَما التّيهُ طبّي فيهِمِ غَيرَ أنّني * بغيض إليَّ الجاهل المتعاقل

“It’s not my habit to be arrogant,
But I just can’t stand ignorant wannabe-intellectuals”
