Honouring Husbands

Omar Mukhtar’s wife used to lift the curtain at the entrance of the tent – every time he entered.
He asked why she did that?
She said: “So you don’t bow (your head) down to other than God.”

بكى عمر المختار حين ماتت زوجته،
فقالوا له ما يبكيك…؟
قال : كانت ترفع باب الخيمة لأدخل،
فأسألها لم تفعلين ذلك…؟
فقالت: لكي لا تنحني لغير الله!!
