Ugly Husband, Beautiful Wife

A beautiful woman was asked how she ended up getting married to an ugly husband ….she replied:

لعله أحسن فيما بينه وبين ربه فجعلني ثوابه ،
وأسأت فيما بيني وبين ربي فجعله عذابي

“Perhaps, he did good in his life – between him and God – so God may have destined me to be his reward.

And perhaps, I did wrong in my life – between me and God – so God may have destined him to be my punishment.”
