Moral Compass

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 …

There is no doubt that the moral compass of modern civilisations is decaying and mankind is losing the plot.

Immorality has become widespread, and it is the responsibility of each one of us to protect ourselves and our families in these times of Fitan.

The truth is: immorality always existed.

It’s not a new phenomenon. There are many examples found in old dusty books…

For example, in ancient times, a man said to a woman: ‘you are so hot!’
She replied:
‎إنما يعرف حرارة الحمام من دخله
‘The heat of a steam-bath is best felt from the inside.’

Immorality was initiated and it was accepted.

Many ancient civilisations indulged in immoral behaviour. In the time of Prophet Lot, his people committed many fawaahish.

The moshrik women used to make naked Tawaf around the Ka’bah until it was banned.

At the time of the Prophet, a woman was raped while she was going to prayer. The Prophet punished the rapist but did not ban women from attending the mosques.

The sin of the flesh goes back a long time.

In fact, the very first murder on earth was carried out by the sons of Adam: Habil & Qabil, because of a girl.

Like in the past, modern civilisations also justify sins and evil by various excuses. For example, many countries ban prostitution but legalise immoral movies. They justify it by saying: prostitutes get paid for the ACT, but the immoral film actors get paid for the ACTING.

It’s hypocritical and word-play to justify their evil.

Without religion, there is no morality.

Many people are trying to migrate and go to Muslim lands to protect their families from these Fitan.

However, this is not only in the West, the world has become like a global village now.

With the latest modernisation attempts in Saudi Arabia, there are also fears of immorality getting normalised in these sacred lands.

Whereas in the past, things were mostly done in secret and underground, now immorality is only a click away from us and our families.

TV, mobile phones and the internet are now accessible even in remote villages of the world.

We need to stop pretending that it doesn’t exist and tackle it head-on.

The Qur’an states:
‘𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀. 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗲𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱.’ [66:6].
