Father

The Prophet said:

الْوَالِدُ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ
“THE FATHER IS THE MIDDLE GATE OF PARADISE.”

[“Tirmidhi”, 1900 – authentic حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ].

Scholars say that this means honouring and serving your father will OPEN the MAIN and BEST gates (خير الأبواب) of Paradise for you.

Hurting your father will CLOSE the main and best gates of Paradise on you.
