Bad Leader

A man said to a minister of the Ummayids: “You have an attribute that the Prophet did not have.”

The minister asked: “How is that possible, O fool?!”

The man said: “God told His Prophet: “If you [O Prophet] had been rude and hard-hearted, they would have fled from around you.” [3:159]. You are rude and hard-hearted while we are not fleeing from around you.”

قال رجل لأحمد بن خالد الوزير: لقد اعطيت ما لم يعطه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم،
قال وكيف ذلك يا أحمق ؟ قال: لأن الله تعالى يقول لنبيه: ” ولو كنت فظاً غليظ القلب
لانفضوا من حولك ” وأنت فظ غليظ ونحن لا ننفض من حولك.
