Fight In The Shade

During the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC:

The Persian archers were so numerous that, their arrows would block out the sun. Dienekes, a Spartan soldier, undaunted by this prospect, remarked with a laugh:

“Then we will fight in the shade…”
