Native American Story

Native American Story … الكلمة الحكمة ضالة المؤمن

There is a story the Native Americans tell their children at campfire:
An Eagle was soaring through the sky.
Suddenly, it was hit by an arrow.
Slowly, the bleeding eagle fluttered down to the earth.
As it was falling down, it looked at the arrow and noticed an eagles feathers at the end of the arrow!
“Alas!” it cried, as it died, “We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction!”

Moral of the story: don’t give people ammunition which can be used against you.

Even if they are not your enemies today, don’t give away things that could be used against you in the future.
One day, friends may become enemies.
We should teach this to our children, especially in these days of mobile phones and internet. People share pictures with their friends, and then they get blackmailed etc.
