Beauty & The Beasts ….

It is narrated that the Prophet said:
يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاَةَ الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْكَلْبُ
“The prayer is disturbed by a woman, by a donkey and by a dog.” [Sahih Muslim, 511].

The women disturb the prayer of men by their BEAUTY, and those beasts by their braying and barking.

Imam Al-Qurtubi says:
ذلك أن المرأة تفتن ، والحمار ينهق ، والكلب يروع
“That is because a woman tempts, a donkey brays and a dog frightens.”
[“Al-Mufham”, 2/109].
