Can God Create Another God?

An Atheist asked a Muslim scholar:

‎هل يقدر الله على خلق إله مثل نفسه
“Can God create another God like Himself?”

He replied:

‎المخلوقَ لا يكون إلاَّ مُـحْدَثاً، والـمُحْدَثُ لا يكون مثلَ القديم

If God CREATES another God, that new God will obviously be CREATED and will BEGIN to exist. So by definition, this new God will NOT be like the UNCREATED God which had NO BEGINNING………

The question is illogical and fallacious by nature.

It’s like asking:

– Can God create a square circle? ○ □

– Can God create a square triangle? □ ▽

Or like saying:

Pick a number higher than 1, which is so big that, if I add another 1 to it, it doesn’t get any bigger….

God’s abilities and power encompass all things which are within the realm of possibility. But these type of questions are self contradictory and hence impossible. It does not mean God is incompetent, it means: the question is nonsense.

Likewise, they ask:

“Is God CAPABLE of creating a stone so heavy that He Himself is INCAPABLE of lifting?”

Again, this is self-contradictory:

It requires God to be CAPABLE and INCAPABLE at the same time, like: the SQUARE CIRCLE.

Nonsense of the highest order……………
