Charity To Hostile Relatives

The Prophet said:

أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ الْكَاشِحِ
“The best charity is that which is given to a hostile relative.”

[“Musnad Ahmad”, 3/402 – حديث صحيح].

This is the hardest thing to do, but it facilitates reconciliation between families.
