Children Like Parents

The way a person’s parents are, that’s how they will usually be [exceptions apply]….

A Pashtun poet says :
هره ونه خپله خپله مېوه نيسي
په نارنج کې مې انار ليدلی نه دی
‘𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀,
𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀.’

That’s why it is recommended to choose a good husband and a good wife, because character gets inherited – just like our physical appearances.

Another poet says: ‘The traits that are found within a grandmother, will be found in her granddaughter.’
