𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 ….

1- Ibn al-Jawzi narrates:
سمع بعض المغفلين أن صوم يوم عاشوراء يعدل صوم سنة، فصام إلى الظهر وأكل، وقال: يكفيني ستة أشهر
A fool heard that fasting on the day of Ashura equals the fast of a year, so he fasted until noon and started eating again. He said: ‘Six months is sufficient for me.’

2- It is reported:
قيل لبعض الحمقى كيف صمتم في رمضان؟
– فأجابوا: اجتمعنا ثلاثين رجلاً فصمناه يوماً واحد
Some idiots were asked: ‘How did you fast during Ramadan?’
They said: ’30 of us gathered and we fasted 1 day each, to complete the full month in a day.’

3- It is reported:
كيف يقضي الأحمق على الشيطان‏:‏ قال بعض القصاص‏:‏ يا معشر الناس إن الشيطان إذا سمي على الطعام والشراب لم يقربه فكلوا خبز الأرز المالح ولا تسموا فيأكل معكم ثم اشربوا الماء وسموا حتى تقتلوه عطشاً‏.‏
A fool tried to trick the Shaytan, so he said: ‘O people, eat salty food and don’t say ‘Bismillah’, then the Shaytan will eat with you. Then say ‘Bismillah’ and drink water, the Shaytan will not be able to drink with you. That’s how we kill the Shaytan with thirst!’

4- It is reported:
وجاء رجل يوما إلى فقيه للفتوى في شهر رمضان، فقال له: لقد أفطرت يوما بعذر؟ فأجابه الفقيه: اقضِ يوما؟ قال الرجل: قضيت وأتيت أهلي وقد صنعوا ميمونة فامتدت يدي إليها وأكلت منها. قال الفقيه: اقضِ يوما آخر. قال الرجل: قضيت وأتيت أهلي وقد صنعوا هريسة فسبقتني يدي إليها وأكلت منها‍. فقال الفقيه للرجل: الرأي أنك لا تصوم إلا ويدك مغلولة إلى عنقك
A man was tempted by food and broke his fast.
He came to a jurist to find out about the ruling, so he was told what to do.
He kept coming back the next few days, repeatedly grabbing and eating food.
The jurist said: ‘I rule that you should fast with both your hands tied to your neck.’

5- It is reported:
كان أشعب يقص على أحد الأمراء قصة بدأها بقوله : كان هناك رجل بلغ عمرة ستون عاماً ..
و فجأة أبصر المائدة قد حضرت فعلم أن القصة ستلهيه عن الطعام فسكت .
فقال له الأمير : و ماذا يا أشعب ؟
فقال : مرض و مات
Imam Ash’ab was about to tell a long story, so he started: ‘There was a man who was sixty years old …’
He noticed that the plates of food arrived …
He was asked: ‘What happened then …?’
Imam Ash’ab said: ‘He became sick and died.’
