Not Everything In Bukhari And Muslim Are Authentic

We, as Sunnis, need to drop this line: “Everything in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim is Sahih”

The only religious Book that is 100% Sahih is the Qur’an.

No other book is infallible.

Ibn Taymiyah said 700 years ago:
ومما قد يُسمّى صحيحاً، ما يصحّحه بعض علماء الحديث، وآخرون يخالفونهم في تصحيحه. فيقولون هو ضَعفٌ ليس بصحيح. مثل ألفاظٍ رواها مسلم في صحيحه، ونازعه في صِحتها غيره من أهل العلم
“As for the Ahadith which are considered “authentic/sahih”, among these are Ahadith which only some scholars considered authentic, while others disputed their authenticity, saying: it is weak, not authentic.
For example some words which Imam Muslim narrated in his ‘Sahih’ collection, while other people of knowledge argued/disagreed with that classification.”

He then goes on to give several examples of Ahadith in ‘Sahih Muslim’ that are weak…read it, if you are interested.

It is in ‘Sahih Muslim’, but Ibn Taymiyah says this is not authentic, because:
ولو كان أول الخلق يوم السبت وآخره يوم الجمعة لكان قد خَلَقَ في الأيام السبعة. وهو خلاف ما أخبر به القرآن
“If the creation started on Saturday and ended on the next Friday, it would mean that the creation took 7 days – which is contrary to what the Qur’an claims (which is 6 days).”

He says this contradicts the Qur’an!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

I know that this gives ammunition to some modernists & Qur’anists, to question the authority of the Sahihayn, but we will come for them as well.

We are fighting this war on two fronts: Hadith dogmatists who can’t question anything, and Hadith deniers.

The truth is right in the middle.

Almost EVERYTHING in the Sahihayn is authentic, EXCEPT very few Ahadith.

The moment we say: “the only infallible religious Book we have is the Qur’an”, we immediately disarm all our opponents.

It has a psychological effect on people….
