Tirmidhi’s Grading

Imam Tirmidhi often graded Ahadith as: حسن صحيح (hassan sahih, meaning: good & authentic)

Nobody knows for sure what he means by that …

The scholars have been disputing for 1000 years about what he actually meant by that.

Shaykh Sa’id al-Kamali says: ‘every explanation that has been put forward, has loopholes.’

So he says :
‘ أمروها كما جاءت! –
‘just pass it on as it came!’ 😂

And he says, if we make it to Paradise, we will ask Tirmidhi what he even meant by this, and we doubt even he will be able to explain it!!
