Hafiz Of Qur’an

It was said to a scholar:
فلان يحفظ القرآن!
“That person did Hifz of the Qur’an!”
So he said:
بل القرآنُ يحفظه!!
“Rather, the Qur’an did Hifz of him!”

* Hifz is to memorise, but literally means to ‘guard/protect’.
