Imagine the king of China sends YOU a personal letter with certain instructions.

But you donโ€™t understand Chinese, so what do you do?

Do you start memorising the Chinese letter?

Or do you go to a translator to find out what the king is actually trying to tell you?

The main objective of the message was for it to be understood and acted upon.

The same is true of the Qurโ€™an: the Lord of the Worlds is addressing each one of us personally.

There is reward in its recitation, but the main purpose was to understand it and to live by its instructions.
