Mr. Nice Guy

Don’t be always ‘mr nice guy’….. a degree of bitterness, sternness and toughness suits a man.

A poet says:
آب را از چی میبرند فرو؟
زانکه استخوانی ندیده اند به او
گر ز سختی علم نبردند
سنگ را همچو آب میخوردند.
“Why do people swallow water with ease?
It is because it is boneless.
Were it not for its hardness,
people would have swallowed even stones like water!”

It is said:

لا تكن سكرا فيأكلك الناس
ولا حنظلا تذاق فترمى

If you become too soft & too sweet, people will swallow you … they will take advantage of you and walk over you… but also don’t become too bitter, because people will spit you out.

If you are always soft, people will not respect you.

Donkeys help humans all the time, yet humans despise donkeys… Lions eat humans, yet humans respect Lions.

There is a time for softness and there is a time for harshness.
