Enemies Within

Enemies within … العدو

A SHEEP spends its entire life fearing the WOLF, but in the end, it is the SHEPHERD that eats the sheep, not the wolf.

We sometimes don’t realise that our enemies might be among those closest to us.

The Qur’an states:

إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَأَوْلَادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ ۚ
“Certainly, there are among your spouses and your children enemies for you, so beware.” [64:14].

How often is there enmity between husbands and wives?
How often is there enmity between parents and children?

INTERNAL enemies are more dangerous than EXTERNAL enemies.
A ship sails when the water is OUTSIDE of it.
But the ship sinks when the water gets INSIDE of it.
