A Tree Is Known By Its Fruit

It is said:
تعرف الشجرة بثمارها
‘𝗔 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁’…

This is also mentioned in the Bible – it may or may not be part of the original revelation from God.

If a person does not benefit your Dunya nor Akhirah, that person is like a useless barren tree – leave that person.

If a person benefits you, that person is like a fruitful tree – stay with that person.

If a person harms you, that person is like a tree that produces bitter fruits – stay away from that person. Don’t bother removing the bitter fruits, because they will keep growing back. Get away from the bad tree.
