Absorbing Guidance

Watermelons grow on dry land, but contain 92% water.

Rice plants consume 5,000 litres of water per KG of grain produced. Rice spends its entire life in water, but its dry!

Islamic teachings are the same:

A person can be flooded with knowledge about God and religion, but if sincerity is absent from the heart – the person will absorb nothing. And if there is sincerity, a person will absorb the truth, even if little of it is present.

وَمَن لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورًۭا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ
“Anyone to whom God does not grant Light,
for that person there will be no Light.” [Qur’an 24:40].
