Animals In Hereafter

The fate of animals in hereafter … مصير الحيوانات في الآخرة

There is no Paradise or Hell for animals in the hereafter, but as part of God’s ultimate justice, they will also be resurrected, to settle scores.

1- Ibn Abbas said:
يحشر كل شيء حتى الذباب
“Everything will be gathered, even the flies.”
[“Tafsir Ibn Kathir”, 8/331].

2- The Prophet said that even a little sparrow bird will come and complain to God about humans who mistreated her on earth:
يا ربِّ إنَّ فلانًا قتَلني عبَثًا
“O Lord, such and such person killed me in vain.”
[“Sahih Ibn Hibban”, 5894].

3- They will demand justice and full justice will be served, even to the extent that the Prophet said:
وإنه ليقيد يومئذ الجماء من القرناء
“And even the hornless animal will settle its score with the horned animal.”
[“Silsilah as-Sahihah”, 1966].

4- A Prophet was once stung by an ant, and he burned the entire ant colony, so God said to him:
أَنْ قَرَصَتْكَ نَمْلَةٌ أَهْلَكْتَ أُمَّةً مِنَ الأُمَمِ تُسَبِّحُ
“Because one ant stung you, you destroyed an entire community which glorified Me?”
[“Abu Dawud”, 5266 – sahih].

5- And the Prophet said:
عُذِّبَتْ اِمْرَأَةٌ فِي هِرَّةٍ سَجَنَتْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَتْ, فَدَخَلْتِ اَلنَّارَ فِيهَا
“A woman was punished on account of a cat which she held captive till it died. Hence, she entered the Hell-Fire due to (her mistreatment of) the cat.”

After full justice is served to all creatures, it will be said to them: ” كونوا تراباً” i.e. be dust…. they will become dust and disappear.

Sorry, animal-lovers …. 🙄 but if people want their pets in Paradise, it is not difficult for God to reunite them.
