Misguidance

Can the Qur’an become the cause of someone’s destruction?

Yes , the Prophet once said:
“[Part of] my nation will be destroyed due to [this] Book…”
He was asked how this is possible?
The Prophet said:
“They will learn the Qur’an, but then they will interpret it in a way other than what God intended by it…”

[“Silsilah ahadith Sahihah”, 2778].

This is the great tribulation today:

The disputes today are NOT about the revelation (التنزيل) of the Qur’an, but about the interpretation (التأويل)…

Nobody disputes that these verses are from revelation … they dispute about their MEANINGS (المعاني)….

Each group (evil extremists, modernists, rawafidh, qadianis, quranists, etc.) interpret it their way, according to their own opinions.

As Ibn Umar said about the Khawarij in ‘Sahih al-Bukhari’:

“They take verses that were revealed about disbelievers and apply them on believers.”

So how do we know which interpretation is correct? Answer: drop all interpretations that cannot be authentically traced back to the Prophet, his companions and the best generations.
