Jesus and the blind boy … بحر الدموع

Ibn al-Jawzi narrates:

‎يروى أن عيسى عليه السلام مرّ ببعض الأنهار، فإذا بصبيان يلعبون في ذلك النهر، ومعهم صبي أعمى قد كف بصره، وهم يغمسونه في الماء، ويفرّون منه يمينا وشمالا، وهو يطلبهم ولا يظفر بهم.
‎ففكر عيسى عليه السلام في أمره، ودعا ربه أن يردّ عليه بصره، وأن يساوي بينه وبين أصحابه.
‎فردّ عليه بصره، فلما فتح عينيه ورآهم وثب على واحد منهم، فتعلق به ولم يزل يغمسه في الماء حتى قتله، وطلب آخر فتعلق به كذلك حتى مات، وهرب الباقون.
‎فرأى عيسى عليه السلام ذلك، فتعجب، وقال: يا الهي، وسيدي ومولاي، أنت بخلقك أعلم، فدعا ربه أن يردّه كما كان ويكفيهم أمره.
‎فأوحى الله تعالى إلى عيسى عليه السلام: قد كنت أعلمتك وتعرّضت إليّ في حكمي وتدبيري، فخرّ عيسى عليه السلام ساجدا.

Jesus walked by a lake where some youth were playing.
One of them was blind.
The other youth were teasing and bullying him by dipping him into the water, while he couldn’t see them.
Jesus felt sorry for him, so he asked God to restore his eyesight.
When God returned the eyesight of this boy, he grabbed one of the other youth and drowned him in that lake!
He then killed another young boy in the same manner.
The other youth were terrified and fled!
When Jesus saw this, he asked God to restore his blindness.
Jesus fell in prostration and said: “O Lord, you know your creation better than anyone!”
