Linguist

A man was a linguist.
His horse stumbled, and he fell off his horse.
People gathered around him.
He said, using posh Arabic language: “Why have you all gathered around me, as if I’m a madman? Go away form me!”
They were Arabs, but didn’t understand his high level of Arabic.
So they said: “Let’s leave him, he is possessed by an Indian speaking Jinn again.”

حكي أن أبا علقمه النحوي المشهور بالتشدق والتقعر في الكلام كان يسير في الطريق فهاجت به دابته فسقط على الأرض فاجتمع الناس واقبلوا عليه ، فلما آفاق ورأى اجتماع الناس عليه قال لهم عبارته المشهورة (مالكم تكأكأتم علي كتكأكؤكم على ذي جنة ؟ افرنقعوا عني ) فقال بعضهم : دعوه فإن جنيته تتكلم الهندية
.ومعنى كلامه :مالكم اجتمعتم حولي كانكم تجتمعون على مجنون … انصرفوا عني
