Wounds Of The Tongue

The tongue is a soft piece of flesh, but it can cut deeper than swords….

They say:
جرح الكلام أعمق من جرح السيوف
‘𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲,
𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀.’

The physical wounds inflicted by swords can heal, but the wounds inflicted by words remain.

We often consider words harmless, but people have died and entire countries have gone to war, due to some verbal arguments.

Don’t take words lightly … with words, people enter into Islam and with words they exit.

With words people get married and with words people divorce and become strangers.

The words we say to our spouses affects the stability of the marriage and the words we say to children affects their confidence and development.

The Prophet said:
وَالْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ صَدَقَةٌ
‘𝗔 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.’
