Don’t Underestimate Yourself

Persian proverb:
قطره قطره دريا ميشود
An ocean is made up of drops of water….

Don’t under-estimate small acts of charity…
There is a story about a forest-fire …
All animals fled, except a little bird, which was flying towards the fire, with a drop of water in her beak.
As she was flying towards the fire, other birds said to her: “You are wasting your time! A few drops of water will not extinguish this fire!”
The little bird said: “I know these drops of water will not extinguish the fire, but I know that on the Day of Judgement, my name will be on the list of birds who tried to stop this fire.”

The Qur’an states:
فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ
“Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.” [99:7].

Whenever you see a charity box somewhere, ALWAYS put something in it, even if its pennies.
