The Prophet’s Letter To Khosrow

The Prophet’s Letter to Khosrow –

The Prophet sent a letter to Khosrow II, the Sasanian king ruling present day Iran.

The Prophet invited him to Islam.

Khosrow II tore the letter into pieces!!

(Az-Zuhri said: I think Ibn Al-Musaiyab said, “Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) invoked Allah to tear them (Khosrau and his followers) into pieces.”

[“Sahih Bukhari”, 7264].

According to another Hadith, when the Prophet was informed that he shred his letter, he supplicated:

“O God, shred his kingdom apart.”

His supplication was answered, and the Prophet gave his companions the glad tidings:

“When Khosrow is ruined, there will be no Khosrau after him.”

[“Sahih Bukhari”, 3120].

And this is exactly what happened – he was the last of them.
